1. Summary

Republic Services is a U.S.-based environmental services company whose core business includes waste collection, disposal and recycling. Its Recycling & Waste segment operates collection networks, landfills and recycling facilities, while Environmental Solutions provides hazardous-waste treatment and industrial services. For electronics recyclers and ITAD operators, Republic’s results offer insight into collection costs, recovered-material markets and the industrial waste services associated with data center and semiconductor construction..

Republic Services reported higher recycled commodity prices and strong growth in Environmental Solutions in its third-quarter results released October 29, 2026. Its average recycled commodity price rose to $142 per ton from $126 a year earlier, while Environmental Solutions revenue increased 22.2% to $529 million. For recyclers, the results provide context on collection costs and industrial waste services; the reported financials do not separately identify ITAD revenue.
