Technology & Data Centers: Duos–Axe Compute Deal Transfers Ownership of 2,304 NVIDIA GPUs, Separating Hardware From Data Center Operations

Axe Compute acquired a cluster of 2,304 NVIDIA GPUs in Columbus, Georgia, while Duos Technologies retained ownership and operation of the data center. For ITAD providers, any future disposition would involve the equipment owner, the facility operator and any lender with an outstanding claim on the hardware. Duos Technologies and Axe Compute completed a transaction on September 30 transferring ownership of a 2,304-GPU computing cluster in Columbus, Georgia, while Duos retained ownership and operation of the data center housing the equipment. Announced October 5, the agreement illustrates how ownership of artificial intelligence infrastructure can be separated from the facilities supporting it.
